Travelers Rest has an abundance of local parks and open spaces to improve the physical and psychological health of its residents, strengthen our community and make our city and neighborhoods great places to live and work. Below we’ve listed parks that are participating in the 2021 Park Hop:

Trailblazer Park

Trailblazer Park is a beautiful urban green space with a covered pavilion, amphitheater and public restrooms. It’s host to the Travelers Rest Farmers Market on Saturdays from May thru September and free concerts every Saturday evening in September. The Fall Bluegrass and Harvest Market  – a get to know your neighbors, community event takes place on Thursdays in October with family-style dining and authentic Bluegrass music. Gateway Park

Gateway Park is home to the Bike Skills Flow Park – a progression of trails with various challenges where mountain bikers can sharpen their skills. There’s a large playground and plenty of parking with close access the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Poinsett Park

Poinsett Park includes a picnic shelter, playground, walking trail and open green space that’s perfect for outdoor recreation. The walking trail is ¼ mile long and surrounds the playground giving visitors the opportunity to get some exercise while keeping an eye on the children.
